Cut-offs & Result Trends

Cut-offs can be confusing. Let’s make them useful. Here you’ll find a **clear, exam‑wise view** of how cut‑offs work, where to check the official numbers, and what the recent trends mean for your plan.

⚑ We’re a CBSE school with entrance coaching (RIMC, RMS, Sainik, JNV/APS, NDA, CDS). Not a military training centre. Fitness is structured and age‑appropriate.

What is a Cut-off?

A cut‑off is the minimum score needed to qualify. Some exams set sectional minimums, others use district/category‑wise merit. So cut‑offs vary by exam, year, category, and seats.

  • Treat cut‑offs as targets, not the final goal.
  • Track trends to adjust speed vs accuracy.
  • Always confirm with the latest official notice.

NDA (UPSC)

  • Written (900) + SSB Interview (900) → Final Merit (1800).
  • Sectional rules apply (check year’s notice).
  • Cut-offs published after final result.

Trend: Written: low–mid 300s/900 · Final: ~670–730/1800.

Official check: UPSC → NDA & NA → Cut-off Marks (PDF).

CDS (UPSC)

  • IMA/INA/AFA (3 papers, 300) · OTA (2 papers, 200).
  • Sectional rules apply.
  • Cut-offs released post-final.

Trend: IMA/INA: 105–130 · AFA: 135–150 · OTA: 80–95.

Sainik School (AISSEE)

  • Qualifying: 25% each subject + 40% aggregate.
  • SC/ST: exception in old Sainik Schools (merit-based).
  • New Schools: rule applies to all categories.
  • Final admission: e-counselling + medical + docs.

Trend: Check school‑wise lists (first & last admitted scores).

RMS (Military Schools)

  • Stages: CET → Interview → Medical.
  • Cut-offs: merit lists, not always national numbers.

Check: RMS → CET Corner → shortlists & provisional lists.

RIMC (Dehradun)

  • Written → Viva → Medical.
  • State-quota (usually 1–2 seats/state).
  • No fixed cut-off published → merit-based within quota.

JNV (Navodaya)

  • District-wise merit with reservations.
  • NVS posts official cut-off lists & keys.
