Academics Blended with CDS Entrance Preparation
Every parent wants their child to do well in school. But what if the same schooling could also prepare them for a proud career in the defence forces? That’s precisely what we do at Atulya Defence School. We provide a comprehensive CBSE education, guiding students step by step towards clearing exams such as the Combined Defence Services (CDS). This way, academics and career preparation go hand in hand.
Why Start CDS Preparation Early?
Ever wondered why so many aspirants fail their first CDS attempt? It’s not because they’re not smart. It’s because they try to prepare after graduation, when it’s already too late. By then, the pressure of other responsibilities begins to pile up. Here, we take that stress away. From the very beginning, our students learn the fundamentals they’ll need later for CDS. So when the right time comes, they’re already confident.
Think of it like sports practice. You don’t start training a week before a big match. You start years in advance. The same goes for defence exams.
Our Approach: Schooling + Coaching Together
Look, we’re not a military camp. We’re a school first. But we’ve blended academics with CDS preparation in a way that saves time and builds confidence.
- Morning sessions: CBSE classes with a strong focus on subjects like English, Maths, Science, and General Knowledge.
- Afternoon coaching: Dedicated CDS preparation—covering written exam topics, current affairs, and mock tests.
- Evening support: Doubt-clearing, practice groups, and mentoring.
This mix means your child doesn’t have to run around between school and coaching centres. Everything happens under one roof.

(All of the above criteria are directly aligned with UPSC’s official CDS notifications and verified across multiple reliable sources. For official details, always refer to the UPSC CDS Examination page.)
How We Integrate These Criteria into Schooling
We know parents worry—“What if my child studies here but later turns out ineligible?” That’s why we monitor age, academics, and basic health standards from an early stage. Students and parents get constant updates so there are no surprises when the UPSC forms open.
Beyond Books: Real Development
It’s not just about filling MCQs. CDS demands personality, confidence, and leadership.
- Group discussions & debates improve communication.
- Mock interviews & SSB orientation build presence of mind.
- Sports & fitness activities keep students healthy.
By the time they graduate, they’re not just book-smart—they’re officer-ready.
Real Student Journeys
Take Rohan’s story. He was average in English when he joined us. Speaking in front of others terrified him. But regular debates, reading sessions, and mock interviews transformed him. Now he leads discussions with ease and dreams of joining the IMA.
Or Priya, who once feared Maths. With step-by-step support, she not only cleared her school exams with good marks but also topped our internal CDS mock tests. Her mother says, “This school didn’t just teach my daughter, it believed in her.”
Why Parents Choose Us
- Dual advantage: CBSE schooling + CDS preparation
- Experienced mentors: Teachers who know both the school curriculum and the defense exams
- Time-saving: No running between multiple coaching centres
- Safe environment: Hostel with structured routines and caring wardens

Fees and Admission Clarity
We understand fees can be a concern. That’s why we keep them simple and transparent. One fee covers both schooling and CDS preparation. Parents don’t have to worry about paying extra for tuition or separate coaching. UPSC exam fees (₹200 for General/OBC males; exempt for SC/ST/Females) are individual, as per official rules.
Hostel Life: Discipline with Comfort
Our hostel isn’t a barrack. It’s a balanced space with structure and care.
- Morning PT and fitness

- Motivation dips: Regular counselling and success stories keep spirits high
We know every child struggles sometimes. That’s why our teachers don’t just instruct—they support like family.

- AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test)
- CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces)
- Banking & SSC exams
- Higher studies with strong Maths, English, and GK foundation
So the effort never goes to waste.
